There are a
few things that I should warn you about before you join in on the discussion
here:
1. Outgoing email is working!
2. I am all for anonymous posting. You should be able to post
comments, reply to posts, and create polls without registering. However,
unregistered guests cannot vote on polls yet (how stupid is that?). I'm
working on this, but I'm not sure when this function will be enabled for
anonymous users. Registered users should be able to post anonymously if
they choose to do so.
3. As stated in the welcome messages, the forum automatically censors
certain words. I’ll take a word from the list: *** for example.
*** will
automatically be converted to *** (and try to guess what word I used here; I
bet you can't! It's a funny one!). I don’t really have a problem
with foul language, but it’s just easier this way. I simply don't want to
have to be responsible for continually monitoring what goes on here. If
you really need to swear, try misspelling such words... some of them might get
through.
4. Although I do not have a problem with foul language or controversial
ideas, if you are being a complete *** and your posts are comprised solely
of insults and devoid of any relevant information they may be deleted at my
discretion (of course I am amused by such amazing displays of ineptitude, but some
people are easily offended and are not capable of recognizing that such asinine
rants are not worth acknowledging). Remember that insults and name
calling are not legitimate arguments and contribute nothing to the
discussion. However, potentially insulting posts that do contain some
valid information will most likely be left alone.
5. Any questions, comments, or problems can be addressed to nemesis@spacedinosaur.com until
email issues are resolved. Once they are resolved you can contact the
forums administrator directly.
